growin' tips...
Hydrangea
Flowers between July and September. Plant in partial to full shade; moist, well-drained, humus soil; acidic soil
produces richest blue shade. Space approximately 4-6' apart; fertilize once in early spring with a fertilizer for
acid-loving plants. Hydrangeas are fast growing, 12-24" and more in a season with proper care.
Best planted in mixed or shrub borders; on the corner of a house. Lovely when combined with Astilbe or Oriental Lilies in shades of rose, pink, and white.
Remove deadwood as new growth emerges in the spring. Because they flower on the current season's growth.
